How your own AI key works
- Create an API key with Claude, OpenRouter or ChatGPT. A chat subscription is not an API key.
- Set a monthly spend limit with your provider before you paste the key.
- Paste it into Orion and press Test key. Your key is encrypted, used only for your own chats, and deleted when your access ends.

Before you start
Do I need a card?
No. Free access needs an email address and your own AI API key.
Who pays for the AI?
You do, directly to your AI provider, for what you use. Set a spend limit with your provider. We never see or bill your usage.
Is the demo private?
No. The demo is one shared sample business, so other people trying Orion can see changes made in it until it resets each night. Don't enter real business or personal information. Your AI key is the exception: it is encrypted, used only for your own chats, and never shown to anyone.
What happens after 14 days?
Your access becomes read-only for 30 days, then your sign-in, saved key and data are deleted. You can delete your account yourself at any time.
